Terms of Service

These terms describe what you can expect from cartapacks and what we expect from you. By using the site or buying a pack, you accept them.

1. Who we are

Cartapacks is operated by Carta International Limited, Unit B, 11/F, 23 Thomson Road, Wan Chai, Hong Kong SAR. Vault custody and shipping are handled through our fulfilment partners located in Andorra, Czechia, and the United States.

"We" and "us" in this document means Carta International Limited. "You" is the person using the site or buying a pack.

Reach us at our contact form.

2. What we do

We buy sealed packs from authorized distributors and from local game stores. Before listing a pack, we record its opening on camera. When you buy a pack, you receive two things: a permanent link to that pack's video, and the cards from that exact opening.

The cards then live in your account vault until you decide to ship them, leave them there, or trade them in for store credit.

3. Your account

You need an email and password to access your vault. You're responsible for keeping your credentials private. If you suspect unauthorized access, email us right away.

We may suspend an account if we detect fraud, payment chargebacks, or serious abuse of these terms.

4. Buying a pack

When you check out, you pay the pack price in full. You don't pay shipping at this stage. Shipping is calculated and paid only when you request a shipment from the vault.

The video link becomes available immediately after payment clears. Prices are shown in USD. Payments are processed by Stripe, whose own terms govern the card transaction itself. We do not charge local sales taxes or VAT at checkout; any import fees apply on delivery as described in Section 7.

5. What you're getting

The cards in the recorded video are the same cards we hold in the vault and will deliver to you. Every pack and its cards are labelled with a matching code so they cannot be mixed up.

We do not swap cards, replace them, or substitute pulls regardless of value. We make no guarantee of specific rarities, condition beyond manufacturer standard, or particular cards beyond what the recording shows. Online codes (Pokémon TCG Live, Lorcana redemption, etc.) ship with the cards and are not separated.

6. The vault

After purchase, your cards stay in our secured vault. You decide what happens next:

  • ·request shipment any time,
  • ·combine cards from multiple purchases into a single shipment to save on shipping,
  • ·trade them in for store credit instead of shipping (see Section 8).

Storage cost. Vault storage is free. Instead of a recurring fee, packs that sit in the vault for longer than the period you choose are auto-traded for store credit. You pick the period in your storage settings (1, 3, 6, 9 or 12 months; default 6). We email you a heads-up 30 days before any auto-trade fires, and the regular trade-in flow from Section 8 takes over from there (admin valuation, store credit added). Auto-trade submissions cannot be cancelled or reversed from your account once they fire; if you need an exception, write us within 30 days of the trade-in landing (see Section 8).

Rejected or returned shipments. If you refuse a delivery, fail to pay the carrier's import fees, or the parcel is otherwise returned to us, the cards go back into your vault. The original shipping fee is not refunded (the work was done). Re-shipping requires a new shipment payment.

7. Shipping

Parcels ship from the fulfilment center under DAP (Delivered At Place) Incoterms. Shipping cost depends on origin/destination, parcel weight, and the service you pick (tracked, or tracked & insured). The cost is shown on the shipping calculator and before you confirm a shipment within the vault.

Import fees are paid by you on delivery, not at checkout. The commercial invoice that travels with your parcel declares the actual transaction value (the sum of the prices you paid for the packs in the shipment). Whether anything is collected and how much depends on your country's import rules at the time of delivery.

We do not under-declare value. We do not collect or remit any import fees on your behalf. Whatever your courier asks for, you pay them directly. If you refuse to pay import fees the parcel returns under Section 6.

If your shipping option included insurance and the package arrives damaged or doesn't arrive at all, contact us within 14 days of the expected delivery date so the courier's claim window is still open. We file the claim with the courier; the maximum claim amount is the declared value. Past that window the carrier may not accept the claim.

8. Trade-ins

Instead of shipping, you can trade a pack in for store credit. We evaluate the cards before approving. Bulk pays nothing. Cards with real market value are credited at our discretion against a market reference (typically TCGplayer), as a percentage of that reference. Typical evaluation takes 2 to 3 days; we don't guarantee a specific timeline.

You can cancel a trade-in request any time before we approve it. The pack returns to your vault, no questions asked. After we approve a manual trade-in, you have 24 hours to reverse it yourself from your trade-ins page: the credit comes back out of your balance and the pack returns to your vault. After that window the trade-in is final on your side: the cards become our inventory and we resell them as singles or in groups.

Trade-ins submitted by the storage policy (auto-trade-ins) can't be reversed from your account. If you didn't mean to let a pack go, write us within 30 days of the trade-in landing and we'll do what we reasonably can. We may also reverse an approved trade-in ourselves when something requires it, for example a refund on the original order or a credit applied at the wrong amount; in either case the credit is deducted and the pack returns to your vault.

Store credit doesn't expire as long as your account is active, is tied to your account (not transferable to other customers), and isn't redeemable for cash.

9. Refunds and cancellations

You can request a full refund as long as both apply: you haven't watched the pack's video, and the cards haven't shipped. Once you watch the video, the opening is final. The cards are yours and you can keep, ship, or trade them in, but the purchase is no longer cancellable.

We may also refund a purchase at our discretion in cases of platform error, duplicate charges, or items lost before video review.

10. Acceptable use

Don't use cartapacks to commit fraud, launder funds, or violate any law. Don't try to break, scrape, reverse-engineer, or resell access to the site or its videos. Don't impersonate someone else or use a payment method without permission.

We may suspend or close any account that violates these rules and reverse any associated transactions where possible.

11. Identity and verification

To meet our legal obligations and keep the platform safe, we may ask you to verify your identity before continuing with higher-value or unusual activity. If you'd rather not, or we can't complete the check, we may pause or limit that activity or your account. We'll still honour what we already owe you, like shipping cards that are already yours.

12. Our content

The cartapacks brand, logos, site design, and pack-opening videos are owned by us.

Trading-card images and game names belong to their respective publishers (Wizards of the Coast, the Pokémon Company, Bandai, Disney/Ravensburger, etc.). We use them to identify products. You can share a video link with friends, but you can't redistribute the video file, modify it, or use it commercially without our written permission.

13. Your content

If you submit a review, photo, or any other content to cartapacks, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use it on the site and in promotional material. You confirm you own the rights to grant this license. You can ask us to remove your submitted content at any time.

14. Liability

Cartapacks is provided as-is. We do our best to keep the site running, the inventory accurate, and the videos available, but we don't promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

To the extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. We're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

This section doesn't limit liability that can't legally be limited (gross negligence, wilful misconduct, or rights you have as a consumer that can't be waived).

15. Termination

You can close your account at any time by emailing us. We'll process any pending shipments and delete your data per our Privacy Policy. Unspent store credit isn't redeemable for cash (Section 8) and isn't paid out when an account closes.

We may close your account if you violate these terms or after a long period of inactivity. We'll notify you by email beforehand whenever practical.

16. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Any disputes go to the courts of Hong Kong. Mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence continue to apply where they cannot be waived by contract.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when the service changes. If the change is material, we'll notify you by email and on the site at least 14 days before it takes effect. Continued use after the change means you accept the updated terms.
